I was checking out an old multigame I had played and I found 3 windmills with over 1000 tons of grain in them.
I also remember a single player game I played when I built a cannon foundry and it wound up with 2000 tons of wood in it. In all my years playing though that has occured only once and my kids do know the game and could have been involved.
How do the cheats work? Do they add amounts to the warehouse or can they add amounts to buildings also?
So the cheats can add amounts to buildings not just the warehouse?
The wood one that I had seemed weird, some type glitch, and I could never have enough wood on that island. But 3 windmills on the same island is not a glitch!
Hi mama, it would be new to me if there were cheats to fill up production buildings. However, I don't know all the cheats either. But you can do much more with a hex editor. Perhaps you have a little 1602 expert in your family...
Ok now I am going to ask the real question. I found the windmills full in a multigame on my opponents island. A save game showed 3 windmills with just under 2000 tons of wheat. The lasterr.gam has even more windmills very full and a cannon maker with just under 2000 tons of wood.
@Budgie - I had it happen with a cannon maker and wood in a single player game.
But it happened only once, to one building. I am confused.
The thing is also that it isn't that much of an advantage. The opponent had the right number of grain farms to go with the number windmills. There also was a lot of buildings and population in the game.
@WOD - The game was over the internet . TCP/IP

That bug was described, for instance, here (No. 5). It should have been solved with NINA Patch no. 5.
There was a discussion about that bug in the old SF board, but I do not remember the preconditions under which this happens. Maybe if you have a lot of production facilities on that island or on the map...
Hallo Annoisten,
RGriedel

I think Joe also describes this bug on his page Anno 1602 Inn... can't find it at the moment, however. His guess is that a wrong bit occurs when writing the savegame file.
@FrankB - I was playing with the German KE. That isn't supposed to need a patch does it? Would it only occur if the player it happens to does not have the patch? It was only seen on one players island.
Note to all - I don't understand German, I have just learned a few words, enough to play the German version. If you want me to understand a post, Please use English.
Is this problem more common in the German version?
I am glad to hear it's a glitch! The game was great and it will be continued.

I also have the KE, and I have never noticed that bug. It seems that it happens very seldom...
And no, the KE does not need a patch (and there is none available for it).
